Bad Island by Doug TenNapel

Bad Island by Doug TenNapel is out this month! It’s in full colour and published by Graphix – an imprint of Scholastic books.

Something on this island is up to no good…

When Reese is forced to go on a boating trip with his family, the last thing he expects is to be shipwrecked on an island-especially one teeming with weird plants and animals. But what starts out as simply a bad vacation turns into a terrible one, as the castaways must find a way to escape while dodging the island’s dangerous inhabitants. With few resources and a mysterious entity on the hunt, each secret unlocked could save them…or spell their doom. One thing Reese knows for sure: This is one Bad Island.

Bad Island is available in Paper-back (with a bumpy relief!) or Hard-cover.

I worked on Bad Island last year as lead colourist. There’s more information about the colour side of Bad Island on my illustration site.

On the same subject of comics, Doug TenNapel’s web comic Ratfist is finally coming to a close this week. I hope you enjoyed it if you were reading along this year – if you missed out, then just read from the beginning at any time!

Doug TenNapel Interview – Calgary Comic Con

Prodigy from the video game podcast The Tetris Effect did a Doug TenNapel interview at the Calgary Comic Expo this year!
Doug talks about comic conventions, Earthworm Jim, Ratfist and his latest Graphic novels.

If I find more interviews I’ll post them up here, since Comic Con season is coming up again with the San Diego Con. Doug will be at Exibitor booth 1714 alongside Axe cop creator Ethan Nicolle this year. 8)

Bad Island

Doug TenNapel has been writing and creating comics and graphic novels well over the last ten or so years. Before Earthworm Jim was created, one of his first comics was “They Called Him Evil” which can be viewed in the media gallery here on Rocket Worm. :)

Doug TenNapel’s next graphic novel Bad Island is going to be published through Scholastic Graphix and is available for pre-order on Amazon.

Don’t forget that his webcomic Ratfist updates every weekday too – hope you’re enjoying it!
