A Few Groovy Things

It’s been a while since I posted here. I just wrapped up a big project that I have been helping a good friend with this weekend. :)

Some Doug TenNapel news!
Doug’s new book Ghostopolis will be published by Scholastic this year, and is available for pre-order on Amazon.
I helped as a colourist on that one. It was wonderful to be a part of that. I can safely say that it has been worth the wait to finally see it published this year. I hope that you check it out. :)

Doug will also be attending the Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo this April. So if you’re in Canada, you may want to drop by and say hello.

Finally a great guy called Ethan Nicolle has created a very funny comic with his brother called Axe Cop…this is not Earthworm Jim related, but Eef is a friend…and it’s too awesome not to mention.

I’m going to get back to the drawing board now that I have some time again. Hopefully I’ll have something arty to show you next update. :)

Power Up Preview

Doug TenNapel’s latest Graphic Novel Power Up is released today!

From the creator of Earthworm Jim, Creature Tech and Monster Zoo comes the comedic story of Hugh Randolph, a family man down on his luck. He works as a mindless drone at a local printer until he discovers a mysterious video game console that gives him the power to produce endless riches, manipulate his work day, even cheat death.

If you need a sneak peek, there is a ten page preview up at Comic Book Resources. Looks great! :)

Ghostopolis Movie

Doug TenNapel’s Graphic Novel “Ghostopolis” has been picked up for a movie deal by Hugh Jackman (that lovely man that plays Wolverine). Last November I helped colour this one. :) ;)

I’m pretty happy for Doug, it’s great news!

Still on Hiatus…still working hard on my book. I’ll be getting the site back on track later this month though. New lick of paint and stuff. ;)
