Earthworm Jim 2 TM
Original platform: SEGA Genesis
Publisher: Interplay
Players: 1
ESRB Rating: E (Everyone) - Cartoon Violence

Description: Superhero annelid Jim and his new sidekick, Snott, are back for an off-the-wall sequel in Earthworm Jim 2. Containing more action than your standard platformer from the Genesis era, each stage has a different style and mission, drawing on game play from different genres, including mazes, trivia contests and arcade-style levels. The game also features music composed by Tommy Tallarico. Do you have what it takes to rescue the Princess?

Even though I have like every copy of this game under the sun, I grabbed the VC copies of both EWJ 1 and 2. Epic, as always. The only problem I have is using the Wii Remote, with it's A button all the way over the other side of the controller. I have to shuffle the control settings to make it as accomodating as I can. Definately something you're best getting the Classic Controller for.

But yeah, epic gaming.

Cool. Is it just like the original, then?

Totally. There are a couple of visual effects, mostly to do with scaling I think that, that occasionally glitch, but I think that has to do with playing those games on HD TV's. But everything else is completely intact.

I found A button as whip, 1 button as shoot, and 2 button as jump worked amazingly well.

Yeah, that's what I do when I can't be bothered to bring out my Gamecube controller. It kind of works, but it makes swinging on the hooks near the end of What the Heck and Who Turned out the Lights much harder.
Usually I save ammo by whipping as much as I can and just using the gun for the big, bad or just plain awkward enemies, I can't do it with that set-up. :(
